Fly
We flew Fiji Airways via Nadi to Apia. Flight was very comfortable, service on the flight was great with a delicious breakfast on the first flight. A light chicken sandwich roll was also served on the shorter flight. Plenty of entertainment options on the longer flight.
Stay
Return to Paradise Resort was a lovely spot to relax. It has one of the best beaches/lagoons in Samoa. Accommodated in a lovely Beachfront Bliss room with all amenities required, and serviced twice daily. The resort has (paid) wifi in public areas, but as our room was so close to main pool/restaurant area, I was able to access wifi from our room (recommend room 602 for this reason).
Great service, staff all very friendly. I believe this resort is the only one in Samoa that is 100% owned and operated by Samoans and staffed by the extended family. The staff are all justifiably proud and very happy people, who make you feel that you are part of their extended family when staying here.
Recommend
There are many daily activities but I would definitely recommend the walking historical cultural tour (very popular) which finishes with a swim in a beautiful lagoon and a BBQ lunch. The Samoans are great singers and entertainers and specialty dinner nights, such as the Fire Dancing night, are not to be missed.
