Nestled along the picturesque Amalfi Coast of Italy, Positano beckons travellers with its colourful cliffside homes, stunning beaches, and mouthwatering cuisine. But is Positano truly worth visiting? Spoiler alert: yes, it absolutely is! Join me on a journey as I share my recent three-day trip to this coastal paradise, and let's uncover why Positano is an essential destination to experience.
Tips For Visiting Positano
Before setting foot in Positano, it's essential to be prepared for the unique experience this coastal gem offers. Here are some tips to make the most of your visit:
Pack Light: Positano's narrow streets and steep staircases can be challenging to navigate with bulky luggage. Opt for lightweight and versatile clothing to ensure comfort while exploring the town.
Comfortable Footwear: With its hilly terrain, comfortable walking shoes are a must for exploring Positano. Be prepared for uphill climbs and cobblestone streets as you explore the charming alleyways.
Cash is King: While many establishments in Positano accept credit cards, it's always wise to carry some cash, especially when venturing into smaller shops or dining at local eateries.
Plan Ahead: Summer months can be bustling with tourists, so consider visiting during the shoulder seasons for a more tranquil experience. Additionally, book accommodations, tours and dining in advance to secure the best options.
