On a whirlwind trip through Europe, my family and I experienced the sights and sounds of London, Paris, Rome, Barcelona and so much more!
Flew
From Sydney we flew to London, however on
our trip we also travelled by bus and trains through London city, a
Eurostar high-speed railway to Paris, cycling through Paris and
Barcelona, travelling on the water taxi and gondolas in Venice and by
foot in Cinque Terre.
Stay
We stayed in some amazing hotels including
the Citadines South Kensington in London, Citadines St Germain in Paris
and Hotel Jazz in Barcelona. Our rooms were spacious, the service
recommendable and the hotels worthwhile. I loved all of my hotels and
would stay at all again.
Activities
In most of the cities we did cycling
tours and did a Segway tour in Rome. We pretty much covered all bases in
our city visits from the Jack the Ripper Tour, Tower of London and
changing of the Guard in London, the Eiffel Tower, Arc DE Triomphe and
Euro Disney in Paris, the Colosseum, The Vatican and the Trevi Fountain
in Rome. We experienced Cinque Terre with lots of walking, went on a
gondola Ride in Venice and experienced the Cable Car and La Boqueria
Markets in Barcelona.
Food
It wouldn’t be a European trip without
eating all the amazing dishes! We ate everything from street food, at
cafes, gelato in Rome and our restaurant highlights were at Al Carugio
restaurant in Monterosso and Nessun Dorma in Manorola – both in Cinque
Terre.
Recommendations
Each of these cities- London,
Paris, Barcelona, Venice, Cinque Terre and Rome has offerings for all
ages. My teenage daughter went on this trip and she enjoyed it as much
as I did! I would recommend these cities for everyone!
