Highlights of Our Journey
Tracy Arm Fjord & Glacier Explorer Excursion
A catamaran whisked us away from the Koningsdam into the heart of Tracy Arm Fjord. Surrounded by towering cliffs and cascading waterfalls, we cruised past shimmering icebergs toward the majestic Sawyer Glacier. Along the way, we spotted seals basking on ice floes and enjoyed expert commentary from an onboard naturalist. This immersive experience was complemented by delicious Alaskan treats, making it an unforgettable day.
Dog Sledding & Glacier Adventure by Helicopter
A true bucket-list experience! A helicopter ride over the Juneau Icefield revealed awe-inspiring views of the Taku Glacier before landing on the remote Norris Glacier. There, seasoned Iditarod mushers guided us on a thrilling dog sledding adventure. Gliding across the glacier with a team of energetic huskies was exhilarating and unforgettable.
Scenic Cruising in Glacier Bay
Part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Glacier Bay was a serene day of marveling at colossal ice formations like the John Hopkins Glacier. Live commentary from park rangers brought the glacial scenery to life, creating a truly magical and educational experience.
Alaska Bear Adventure by Float Plane
A 20-minute float plane ride from Ketchikan led us to the untouched beauty of Tongass National Forest. Guided by a naturalist, we ventured to a viewing platform overlooking a salmon stream at Margaret Creek. There, we witnessed a black bear fishing alongside a bald eagle—a rare and humbling glimpse into Alaska’s wildlife.
