Nicole Beasley
Nicole commenced her travel career in Noosa in 1984 as a trainee, within 18 months was elevated to Manager of the 4 person American Express representative office. In 1988, at age 21, the big city in the full swing of Expo year beckoned and Nicole relocated to Brisbane and commenced Suncity Travel and trained partner Carmen Ford.
In 1989, Nicole took a 6 month break during the Pilot’s strike to travel to Europe (her 2nd trip, the first was for 10 weeks in 1985 with Insight Tours) and in this time spent 4 weeks hopping the Greek Islands, traveled extensively by rail in Italy and with 3 adventurous girlfriends covered 10,000kms in a leased Peugot to cover France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Austria, Germany – the journey ended with 2 weeks with a family in Paris, time in London and a return via New York (amazing!!) and Lake Tahoe…
In 1991 expanded Suncity Travel into newly fitted retail premises on the Plaza level at Riverside Centre, where it successfully trades to this day…Nicole personally also traveled extensively through these years with at least 3 or 4 OS trips each year…speciality for detailed European planning and large incentive groups evolved. Founding female member of the Brisbane branch of Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization (YEO) and also a “nursery” for trainee Travel Consultants from the Russo Institute teaching true service in Travel.
In 1997 sale of Suncity Travel, followed by another month in Europe featuring a Radisson Seven Seas cruise of the Iberian peninsula and a return to favourite France. Marriage and babies followed as did a short hiatus in the travel career but part-time work continued as administrator of YEO Brisbane branch which included Conference Organizer for their Asia-Pacific regional Conference at Hyatt Sanctuary Cove in early ‘99. Continue to deal with long-term clients via Harvey World Travel Noosa.
In 2001 start a full time role with Africa Exclusive Tours planning individual and group tours to Africa & training staff. Husband works for 8 months in Shanghai, China from June and in 2002 move to Singapore for an amazing 18 month stint and work with ANZA…
In 2003 re-locate back to Noosa for 18 months and return to work at Harvey World Travel. After a lovely time in the sun settle back to Brisbane early 2005 and commence working with my personal long-term clients through the Harvey World Travel office at Kenmore.
In April 2005 approached by Australia Zoo to set-up “Australia Zoo Travel” – working closely in partnership with Steve and Terri Irwin, launch the business in August of that year but due to the distance of commute and husband’s career travel commitments finish at Australia Zoo in December.

I am writing to say thank you for your recent help in getting us to Ghent. The meeting was a huge success and enjoyed by all. Your hard work in preparing our itinerary for us was a huge contribution to this success and, as always, your assistance is greatly appreciated by all involved. Until next time, take care.
Thanks again for all your work.
Everyone really enjoyed themselves and we look forward to another venture into the future.
I will be in contact….Thanks.
Nicole, John Dash and Smith and nephew are lucky to have you as their travel agent – you are a star madam – professional – organized and precise (all of which I am not ).
I was really worried how much this trip would knock me around for the forth coming week but everything you did worked perfectly and having pre organized transfers mad us feel extra special .
So thank you from the bottom of my weary heart !!
Please forgive that it has taken so long to get back to you – it was an utterly unforgettable holiday! We had such a good time and yes, the boat, was fantastic! Even Donald is now convinced that cruising is a wonderful way to holiday:-) Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into coordinating the different aspects of our holiday and also for being patient with our decision making! Our friends loved the cruise, too and I hope they will get back to you about their impressions. I lie in bed at night and think of all the wonderful places we have seen and it makes me smile!
Thanks for your help Nicole, definitely I couldn’t do all this without your help, was easy and friendly and very efficient. I am happy working with you.
We are back safe & sound after a fabulous holiday!! Thank you again for organising it all & for all your help. I will definitely see you again, when organising our next trip!
I was just thinking about you and how I must send through a HUGE THANK YOU!!!!
We had the most amazing holiday and everything went so smoothly.
Would love to catch up when you are up – perhaps on the Sunday??
Talk soon and Happy New Year!
All went very well thanks – a great holiday. The logistics were all smooth and the venues good. Accommodation: mainly great especially Titilaka Lodge.
Let down a bit by the Casa Andina Private Collection in Cusco but all other hotels great. Trek: amazing – what a team of porters, cook and guide! We were well looked after – and Machu Picchu a stunning end-point.
A&K reps: all great. Best was Layla, who looked after us in Cusco and Sacred Valley. also Julio, the guide at Titlaka was brilliant.
Food: highs – generally great menus and food, especially Paracas, Trek, Titilaka. The restaurant that Wayne chose for his birthday in Cusco, Map Cafe, was amazing – put it on your list of recommendations for future clients!
Absolute stand out for me was the food on the trek prepared by our chef Tourivio (not sure of spelling) – completely amazing healthy food under challenging conditions, and our porters – all from the same community in Ollantaytambo.
Overall really brilliant – thanks for your help.
best wishes
Julia and Andy
I have been thinking of you…I want you to know, we had a fabulous trip!!! It was all perfect…the Hotel Rivoli in Florence was absolutely lovely, the decor was gracious and welcoming and so was the staff..certainly recommend it !!! And it had a three star Michelin rating…we only had one formal dinner there, but it was delicious!
Do want to say thank you for all your input and guidance…and it was all just wonderful!!! Lots of love, Mary
All I can say about our trip is that it was PERFECT in every way. Every day was wonderful and fantastic and amazing. The weather was spectacular, the cruise was incredible, the food was delicious, the wine was fabulous ( especially in Spain) and it is so nice to think about it and talk about it again. It was amazing travelling with Sal, we had such a good time, and the Mediterranean men are certainly handsome !! We had fabulous seats on Emirates with lots of leg room, of course the coming home was the hard part. It does feel a bit like a dim memory but I have the 5,500 photos to remind me again and again. Keep in touch and take care
