Carole Grassby
There is no doubt that my greatest passion is travel – there is nothing more satisfying than listening to the debrief of a returned client’s successful trip!
I have travelled extensively to all 5 continents in over 35 years and will never tire of the excitement of visiting a new destination and bringing that knowledge to the meticulous arrangements that I make for my clients. I am an active traveller and love walking and cycling trips accompanied of course with good food and the occasional ‘wow’ hotel experiences.
I began my travel career in London with Sundowners, a major overland travel company offering amazing journeys throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa as well as the legendary Trans Siberian Railway. Since returning to Australia, I worked for Sundowners again as a consultant and occasional tour leader and subsequently as a consultant for both Corporate and Retail Agencies.
During this time I also taught the TAFE Travel Certificate Course and Ryde and Dover Heights.
Seeing the need for a boutique agency offering high quality travel advice and personal service, I established Travel on Q in 1991 and brought together a loyal, experienced and highly trained team to achieve this goal. I have specialised in tailor-made travel arrangements for individuals and small groups and specialise in bespoke events for special occasions. Having travelled to Bhutan in 2002 as a guest of the government, I have been running small group tours there ever since and to other destinations.
Joining ‘itravel’ in 2017 has allowed me to downsize and work from home. I can concentrate on more of the bespoke itineraries that I love to organise for individual clients and create truly memorable small group journeys for friends to celebrate life’s milestones. You can check my blogs for some of these!
