FIJI

April 17, 2014 by Joanne Agius Leave a Comment

Bula!!!!

From the moment my husband, my two Children who are 11/8 yrs and I, arrived in Fiji, we were met by Rosie Holidays, who greeted us with Fijian Singers & Guitarists, showering us with shell leis.

We were transferred by private car to the Shangri-la Fijian Resort & Spa, on the Coral Coast, about 45 minutes from Nadi Airport.

The Shangri-la Fijian Resort & Spa, is set on a private 109 acre private “Yanuca Island”, connected to the mainland by a causeway, and is the only resort on the Coral Coast, with pure white sandy beaches and crystal clear blue lagoons.

We stayed in a Lagoon View Room, which overlooked the Palm Fringed Pool & Lagoon, which provided a perfect spot, as we sat on the Balcony, for that pre-dinner drink, watching the sunset.

The Shangri-la Fijian Resort & Spa offered arguably the best facilities for children, which I’ve seen. Activities included, spear throwing, fishing, storytelling, singing & dancing competitions, extensive range of water sports and much, much more.

The buffets were amazing, such a vast selection of food, themed differently each night. We sat for hours enjoying the great food, majestic views and entertainment.

We engaged in everything from the Zip Fiji (Souring Thru Rainforests), walking through streams to the picturesque waterfall and pool of the Biausevu Village, visiting Sigatoka Village, then on to the Naiheje Caves, ending with a “Bili Bili” ride on the Sigatoka River, Seaspray Sailing Adventure, exploring the crystal clear waters, beaches & islands of the Manamanuca Islands, visiting traditional Fijian Villages and participating in Kava Ceremony. The list goes on and on, not to mention relaxing on a deck chair at the Shangri-la, being waited by Fijian Hospitality and the massages were ammmazzing.

What more can I say, a truly memorable holiday, memories that we will cherish FOREVER.!!!!!
