SINGAPORE – MORE THAN A STOPOVER DESTINATION

I flew with Singapore Airlines on their new A350 aircraft which are very comfortable. I arrived in Singapore more refreshed then on my previous trip. The food and service were good, but the selection of movies was still dismal unfortunately.

I was transferred to the Intercontinental Hotel Robertson Quay where I would be staying for the next 7 nights. This 5-star new property is stunning and located right in the heart of a restaurant precinct on the Singapore River. Great property; great location – just perfect.

My activities for the week included visiting the Botanic Gardens and National Orchid Garden; Breakfast with the Orangutans at Singapore Zoo; Singapore Garden Festival; Gardens by the Bay; Marina Bay Sands SkyPark; S.E.A Aquarium and Sentosa Cable Car ride; Bum Boat ride along Singapore River and Singapore Museum.

I dined in many different restaurants from modern Australian to traditional Chinese as well as famous Jumbo Seafood Restaurant for the delicious Chilli Crab.

Singapore is such an amazing vibrant happy place. It is very safe destination with so much to do I have only scaped the surface, and I look forward to going back there to explore more in the future.
